Kuala Lumpur Trip Day 2

Day 2 of my journey to the west..click here for entry of day 1... i stayed at my aunt's until my hubby fetched me up after the award ceremony..Around 4, we were ready to bid goodbye to my aunt and her 3 darlings...

my kids with aunt's youngest daughter (orange)

We were still in the mood of hanging around Selangor, so not to miss the opportunity to go to the book fair everyone talked about, we headed to The Mines... Yup, we went to the Big bad Wolf.... My sister did mentioned about how cheap books can be here, so we went there to witness it ourselves... i bought a novel, a series of dummies collection of photo-editing books and few books for uzair and qalesya.... books which usually quite expensive in bookshop were sold as cheap as RM8.. have u been there??? You should not miss it.....

Right after that, we went to bangi for our dinner ..my hubby brought us to this one place called Gearbox warung Dusun....and of course, their speciality is on gearbox soup..so we tried it and not really to my liking.....but when i looked around, most of them had gearbox soup on the table...

The food we ordered!!
Then we went home.. reached home at about 1 a.m...That's the end of our journey in kuala lumpur....

Journey to the west - day 1

Feeling bored staying at home.. As soon as i heard hubby got to attend and award ceremony at MPOB headquarters, bangi.. Btw, Mr hubby was awarded with excellent service award... Congratulation, sayang.... (Don't forget about my portion ye..)... My heart bloomed..hehhe.... that was the signal that i was waiting for.. a chance to flee from the routine at home...Yup, i tagged along....

We departed around 9 a.m last Sunday from home....After a few hours drive, we reached our first stop... Sungai wang plaza.. We parked our car there and walked to Low Yat Plaza...... Actually, we just wanted to see the famous plaza where people always say that we can buy the gadgets with remarkably low prices....and we ended up buying a cheap tab - produced locally.... just for qalesya to play games without having her to ask for my phone all the times!!!

the tab!!
By the time we walked out of the plaza, its already 6 p.m. so we had our tea at the mamak's in front of the plaza ( I forgot the restaurant name)... and we headed to my aunt's at ULu Langat..we spent a night there...

Stay tune for day 2, k!!!

Yassin recitation event

Yassin is undoubtedly one of the great surahs of the Qur’an; its reading is considered to be highly beneficial and spiritually rewarding. It is important to memorize the entire surah; it is also important to read it as often as one can, and more especially, while attending those who are nearing death.

Being very familiar to the felda settlement scene, Yassin recitation ceremony is often conducted in the community....Be it once a week, monthly basis....The residents take turn to organize the ceremony at their home... I'm sure many of you have done this countless times.... Just a sharing how the ceremony was done at my in-law's place...

It was held  last Friday morning..... This event was meant for women from the same block (felda settlement is divided into blocks, a block may varies on numbers of houses, in my in law's cases, the block contains around 24 houses.) Usually, food is served after the Yassin recitation but it is not compulsory..It really depends on the house owner.... my SIL made mee rebus that day....

Yassin recitation

Abundance of food
Usually, people do not come empty-handed...They bring along kuih, puddings and even packets of sugar to give to the house owner..... That's what makes the abundance of food... They can even tapau the extra food to bring home..

Eating time.....

Istanbul Aku Datang

Yup... I know...i was way behind.... the movie was premiered on 8 Nov... more than one month ago..
But....i have just watched the movie today after an interesting review by Yanty's blog..You may read her review here....

Really love the character Harris played by Beto and of course the heroin herself, Lisa Surihani...
I think she had improved a lot on her acting since Ombak Rindu.....Beto Khushairy had proved himself as an actor to be watched......

Usually, i'm not really a fan of malay movies but I do love this film...It is great...very relaxing....  teenagers kind of thing....
Maybe, the scene where Azad tried to kiss Yan  was really not necessary.... I don't know....just my opinion... cos there were so much hugging and holding hands scene inside.....so I get it...it is a romantic film, right.... call me 'kolo't..huhu

Okje....just to take your challenge to write another entry...here it is.... :)

Wedding anniversary and birthday party...

I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you.

Feeling awkwardly romantic today....Maybe because i have celebrated my 5th wedding anniversary last Sunday.. actually my anniversary falls on 8th dec every year :) but we celebrated this year together with my doter's birthday which falls on 9th dec..yup ..she was born 2 years and 1 day after we get married :)

The celebration took place at my FIL's house...just a small feast inviting the neighbours around.... so as usual, my super duper chef, my SIL cooked curry mee as the main dish together with many many other foods.... yummmy....

Not to exaggerate more ..just take a look at the pics below...:)

Some of the food prepared!!!!! Still thinking of my fav curry mee....yum yum...

Had doa selamat recital before the party begins!!! Small pic below: my nephew.Ikmal..

Then the peak event of the party....cake-cutting ......

my adorable daughter wearing the gown her opah bought....

Not to miss our chance,,,we also did the cake-cutting........

It was really fun that afternoon....planning to make this as annual tradition..hehheh.......Just a wish for my growing daugter, Nurqaseh Qalesya...

Qalesya,
Have we told you before that we are the proudest parents in the whole world? Have we told you before that we are the happiest parents in the whole world?
