Langkawi trip: 3rd (last) day

It was the morning of the first day of Eiduladha..... my hubby, father and my brother got the chance to perform their eiduladha pray at the nearest mosque...the mosque at the heart of Kuah town... it was just within walking distance from the where we were staying.....

the view from the apartment balcony....
Around 10.30 a.m, we checked out from the hotel and headed to Dataran Lang.... People said, the trip will not be completed if you did not take any pics with the famous gigantic eagle statue there....and so we went....

and we boarded the ferry to Kuala Perlis at 11.30 a.m..... That's the last day of the trip in Langkawi...hoping to come more in the future to get another taste of the island......
We came and used a trolley and went back with two trolleys....:)
 Till then.......

Langkawi Trip: Day 2

It took me  a while since my last entry cos I had to find times in between career demands and also a hobby of mine (blogging)...huhuh..

Continued from my previous entry..Day 2 of my Langkawi trip...The visit to any island would never be completed , if island-hopping was not included on your trip........Paid RM30 per an adult, we did island-hopping activity...we shared the same boat with few tourists from Japan, India and Australia.....

Getting ready for the activity.....
Our first stop was Beras Basah Island (Wet Rice Island)... We were given an hour to spend our times there...most of them were so ready to do some swimming and snorkelling...we were just sitting and relaxing there.... admiring the beautiful surroundings... there were lots of monkeys roaming around the island..waiting for tourists to feed them....and the first thing i spotted when we strolled along the jetty was the water was crystal clear.... you can see many small fish in the water... u can actually feed them with bread....
Then, our next stop, was to see eagles from close-up.... i forgot to ask the boat driver the name of the island, but we just stayed on the boat and watched the eagles flying and catching fish... the boat driver even threw a basket full of fish to the ocean to attract the eagles to fly down near our boat..... it was truly an amazing experience..... now maybe i can figure out a bit how langkawi got its name......

Our last stop was the none other than Dayang Bunting Island.... the driver showed us the island from far to see how the island got its name....its really looks like a figure of a pregnant lady lying down.... we were given an hour there...so we walked our way up and down the steep stairs to the Tasik Dayang Bunting (The lake of Pregnant maiden).... it was really a beautiful scenery down at the lake...... the water was icy-cold even on that scorching hot afternoon....
Feeling all exhausted, hungry and even thirsty when we reached the jetty, we straight headed to Pekan Rabu and had our lunch there.....  After fueling up ourselves, we drove our way to the scenic UnderWaterWorld...
a fee of RM28 per an adult was just worthwhile as i enjoyed myself very much there!!!!

After enjoying ourselves inside the Underwater World, we went to the duty free mall-The Zone which is situated just beside the Underwater World... not buying anything there (as we already bought so many in the other shops!!) we went to quench our thirst and fill our stomach again at the nerby McD.....

On our way back to the apartment, we stopped at Beras Terbakar (Field of Burnt Rice)... seriously said, nothing much to be seen..... there was no attraction at all... most of the stall were closed due to the upcomig Raya Haji..so we just spend like 10 minutes there.....

Feeling tired of reading this entry?? Sorry.... This was bits and pieces of my second day trip at Langkawi......... till then...

Langkawi trip: Day 1

How did you spend your holiday last week?? having five consecutive days off from work, we went up north.... To the legendary island, pulau langkawi... set out from my sister's at bukit sentosa at 1 a.m, last wed morning, we arrived at Kuala perlis just in time for our subuh pray....Performed our subuh pray there at masjid terapung, kuala perlis (a nice and beautiful mosque, was told that the mosque was just recently completed, early this year)...
parked our car in front of Hj Abdul ghani's restaurant and had our breakfast there.....  We boarded the second ferry to langkawi island from Kuala perlis ferry terminal... due to the major upgraded work at the terminal, the terminal looked a bit messy but for future good :)...

Arrived at langkawi 45 minutes later, around 9.30 a.m.....  more travel time needed  if you boarded the ferry from Kuala Kedah.... my hubby already aranged for our transportation there - rented a proton wira for RM110 for the rest of our trip here... a good bargain.....

i already booked our accomodation at Kuah two weeks beforehand.... rented an apartment with three rooms... so we stayed at seaview apartment for RM350 for 3 days and 2 nights... a comfy apartment and value for money too!!!! will recommend for anybody with large family...

not wasting our precious time in langkawi, we set our foot at the famous idaman suri and haji ismail group... bought some souvenirs for friends and family and of course, yourself....

after some shopping, it was time for lunch... filled our stomach at Pak AQ nasi campur.... then, we straight headed to langawi Geopark Centre to ride on the famous oriental village cable car....it was hair-rising experience.....my father promised not to have another ride again on that gondola...huhu... me and hubby had the chance to try on the horse-riding there....

after such a frightening but memorable experience on the cable car, on our way back, we stopped at pantai kok to try out the local delicacies there.....
We headed back to the apartment, had some rest.... later in the evening, we went to Dataran lang cafe to have our dinner.. the food was quite pricey there and we went for some shopping at the nearby duty free shops....
What happened on my 2nd day trip in langkawi?? stay tune for more stories......:) thanks for reading..
