Dessert Time!!!

Went back to my hometown at Ulu Tiram, Johor Bahru last Friday....It always been a regular activity for me to go window-shopping every time I hit my hometown..... So Aeon Tebrau City was the one !!

I have had sweet-tooth last Saturday.... Craving for banana split as seen on my sister's blog..(care to click here for the entry i talked about)...  so me, mr hubby, my kids and my mother made our way to the secret recipe to quench our hunger for dessert....

The taste of the banana split was not as I expected...maybe because i chose chocolate rather than vanilla.... My mom said it tasted better at Johnny's Restaurant..

All-time favourite.... a slice of chocolate indulgence

Frosty watermelon juice

Drooling????

Kedai Roti Mokhtar, Slim River, Perak

More on my trip to Slim River, Perak....

Have you heard about Kedai Roti Mokhtar, Slim River??... this bakery was featured in Majalah islam: TV AlHijrah two years back...but recently that show was aired again on the same tv station......this bakery was also featured in Kosmo...

I had the opportunity to go and buy few products of the bakery as a cousin's of hubby who is in catering line suggest us to buy souvenirs from Slim River in the form of bread!!!!I was told that this bakery is so famous with the locals.....
From outside: looks like a run-down and shabby workshop
Traditionally baked using bricks oven...... Upper: the oven from outside...Down(pic from Kosmo): How it looks inside the oven..
The baker/the owner himself is packing the bread.... No worker as the only help he gets is from wife and children.

Waiting for our bread to be ready.....
So, if you happen to be in Slim River...do check out this.....Just support Muslim product!!!!Wanna know more about this bakery... click here...

Splashing time: Hot Springs Felda Sungai Kelah...

Hubby was scheduled to attend his team building course at Felda Residence Trolak near Sungkai last Friday... as it was the school holiday, i tagged along with my two off-springs and my two sis-in laws and my children's cousin, alif...planned to stay at hubby's cousin's at slim river so began packing on Friday early morning......
so ready to go......pictures below: waiting for the commuter from seremban to arrive...fetching SIL @ tanjung malim KTM Station..

The next day, we went to Sungai Kelah Hot Springs for some water activity... I have been here long before I got married ...so this was my second visit here...... just to cherish my two kids....they really love water-activities...bet many kids are....Have u ever been here? It is reputed to be one of the best managed hot spring in Malaysia and is located 200 feet above the sea level at the foothill of the Titiwangsa Range, the backbone range of Peninsular Malaysia. Once you arrive here, you will be amazed by the lush greeneries, hills, streams and rivers that abounds in the vicinity.

The guide
Too many words, heh??? O,k just take a look at the pics taken here.....
Main spring pool...... The water is quite hot...at first my children were reluctant to dip in for it was quite hot..Met with my neighbour and her children who happened to tag along her husband who went for  the same course with my hubby...

Mountain springs pool... the water here was icy-cold.....

Another attraction here....egg-boiling activity..... eggs are not allowed to be brought from outside.... there is a stall  selling eggs to be boiled here.... but I can see many people were sneaking eggs in...hehheh..

took the tram out of the park.... Feeling exhausted.....
Stay tune for more stories from Perak...:)

A wedding like no other!!!!

It has been a week since the school holiday started....got a few wedding invitation from closest friends... Planning to attend them all..cewah...:)
Yesterday, was the wedding of Joliati and her husband (her husband's side) at melaka..I was in the same class with her in our uni days....Yesterday was almost like a reunion to a few of former students of Biotech, Upm.... it has been few years since we last met.....

Well, a wedding like no other??? The bride and the bridegroom were transported by RapidKL bus which was decorated nicely..they even put a bridal dais on the bus!!! It was not really a big surprise to some of you, we have heard many people do so many things to put a little twist on their big day...but to me, this was the first wedding i have attended to do something like that...... thumbs up to both of you, Jo and zali....and i think, it makes a lot easier for them to do such thing because her husband is one of the RapidKL staff......

Joliati and Zali,

"Wishing you all the happiness there is and as you both live out your lives together may they be entwined as you grow old together." :) Congratulations on your marriage!!

Till then.....Got to have some quality sleep now!!

All about Feasts!!

This entry was meant to be published before the school holidays but due to issues in managing my time at the end of the year, it was postponed until now....so guys...what will you read down here happened for the past few weeks!!!...

As usual, at the end of the year, many will be feted to feasts!!...Yes, eat and eat again!!  Let me start with the pre-school joined birthday celebration...it was a tradition in my school that end-of-the year pre-school party, all teachers in the school will be invited to the party.....Hooorey!!!!

As a class teacher, i did organized a small party for my own class, 3 usaha...just to cheer those little darlings after one-year of shouting and punishment from me...hehe......

And the latest was the farewell party for all year 6 pupils....being one of those Year 6 teachers, i was presented with beautiful fabric (going to be made into baju kurung next year...hehhe).... we were so full that day and some of us even can 'tapau' the left-over foods!!!

Yup, that's it...till then......

Langkawi trip: 3rd (last) day

It was the morning of the first day of Eiduladha..... my hubby, father and my brother got the chance to perform their eiduladha pray at the nearest mosque...the mosque at the heart of Kuah town... it was just within walking distance from the where we were staying.....

the view from the apartment balcony....
Around 10.30 a.m, we checked out from the hotel and headed to Dataran Lang.... People said, the trip will not be completed if you did not take any pics with the famous gigantic eagle statue there....and so we went....

and we boarded the ferry to Kuala Perlis at 11.30 a.m..... That's the last day of the trip in Langkawi...hoping to come more in the future to get another taste of the island......
We came and used a trolley and went back with two trolleys....:)

Langkawi Trip: Day 2

It took me  a while since my last entry cos I had to find times in between career demands and also a hobby of mine (blogging)...huhuh..

Continued from my previous entry..Day 2 of my Langkawi trip...The visit to any island would never be completed , if island-hopping was not included on your trip........Paid RM30 per an adult, we did island-hopping activity...we shared the same boat with few tourists from Japan, India and Australia.....

Getting ready for the activity.....
Our first stop was Beras Basah Island (Wet Rice Island)... We were given an hour to spend our times there...most of them were so ready to do some swimming and snorkelling...we were just sitting and relaxing there.... admiring the beautiful surroundings... there were lots of monkeys roaming around the island..waiting for tourists to feed them....and the first thing i spotted when we strolled along the jetty was the water was crystal clear.... you can see many small fish in the water... u can actually feed them with bread....
Then, our next stop, was to see eagles from close-up.... i forgot to ask the boat driver the name of the island, but we just stayed on the boat and watched the eagles flying and catching fish... the boat driver even threw a basket full of fish to the ocean to attract the eagles to fly down near our boat..... it was truly an amazing experience..... now maybe i can figure out a bit how langkawi got its name......

Our last stop was the none other than Dayang Bunting Island.... the driver showed us the island from far to see how the island got its name....its really looks like a figure of a pregnant lady lying down.... we were given an hour there...so we walked our way up and down the steep stairs to the Tasik Dayang Bunting (The lake of Pregnant maiden).... it was really a beautiful scenery down at the lake...... the water was icy-cold even on that scorching hot afternoon....
Feeling all exhausted, hungry and even thirsty when we reached the jetty, we straight headed to Pekan Rabu and had our lunch there.....  After fueling up ourselves, we drove our way to the scenic UnderWaterWorld...
a fee of RM28 per an adult was just worthwhile as i enjoyed myself very much there!!!!

After enjoying ourselves inside the Underwater World, we went to the duty free mall-The Zone which is situated just beside the Underwater World... not buying anything there (as we already bought so many in the other shops!!) we went to quench our thirst and fill our stomach again at the nerby McD.....

On our way back to the apartment, we stopped at Beras Terbakar (Field of Burnt Rice)... seriously said, nothing much to be seen..... there was no attraction at all... most of the stall were closed due to the upcomig Raya Haji..so we just spend like 10 minutes there.....

Feeling tired of reading this entry?? Sorry.... This was bits and pieces of my second day trip at Langkawi......... till then...
